Wedding Portfolio Update

11.24.12 - Chicago, Illinois - I updated my wedding portfolio over the Thanksgiving weekend with some recent work from the summer and fall. I did a lot of work over the summer between shooting my own weddings, attending friends' and second shooting for Jason Brown. It's awesome to see how everyone celebrates a little differently and each wedding reflects the couples' personality.

I'm definitely excited for the upcoming season.

Cheers,

Will

Elements Contemporary Ballet Fundraiser

11.01.12 - Chicago, Illinois - Elements Contemporary Ballet threw a great party for their fall fundraiser (what can I say? I'm a sucker for baklava and ballet.) at Cassona Furniture in Andersonville and gave attendees a preview of some of their newest work.

Be sure to check out their site and if you can, donate. Below are some of the still highlights.

Best,

Will

Cubs Final Game of 2012

10.03.12 - Chicago, Illinois - Nelson and I took the afternoon to go to the Cubs final game of 2012 at Wrigley Field against the woeful Houston Astros. The Cubs, the second worst team in baseball, were looking to avoid a sweep against the Astros, the worst team in baseball. Trust me it was riveting. The tickets were $1, so there's that.

It was dramatic though as you'll notice in the video below, All-Star first baseman Brian LaHair capped a great season with the game winning single in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded. It was a long way from the 2007 ALCS at Fenway Park which I covered here, too. Alas, Cubs won, 5-4.

Best,

Will

Paco and Keisha's Wedding

09.29.12 - Chicago, Illinois - I had the pleasure of shooting Paco and Keisha's wedding in the South Loop a few weeks back. We did portraits at the Clarke House, which is the oldest house in the city and is a spectacular park to roam around in if you ever get the chance. The service and reception were at the Marmon Grand on Michigan Avenue. It was a fun mix of cultures (Keisha is from Trinidad and Tobago) and there was even a pan musician and a caricature artist (no, I didn't get mine done, maybe next time).

Clark House portraits.

Keisha's father offered some help during the ceremony.

Favorite moment.

Second favorite.
